If you have ever been on a photoshoot or have one coming up you have probably experienced some sort of nerves. Heck, I am a photographer and sometimes I get nervous before Clay takes my picture!
I have been on both sides of this coin…or,uh, camera; and here is what I have learned to let go of those nerves and have fun with it.
1.Wear something that makes you feel cute:
I think we can all agree that we have a couple outfits that you just know you look good in. Wear that outfit. This extra boost of confidence goes a long way, plus who doesn’t like to be photographed in their favorite outfit?
Here is what I suggest to get pumped up for your photoshoot:
~ Take extra time getting ready
This helps you feel that you are looking your best and eliminates the stress of being rushed.
~ Have a jam session in the car
Don’t underestimate the power of music, okay? This can change your mood from anxious and jittery to ready to party and bring your most Tyra Banks look.
~ Pick up your favorite drink
Here is why: treat yo self
Bleh! I hate even typing the phrase its sooo cheesy, but I can’t think of any other way to put it. Some of our favorite photos our when people let go of what they think they should be doing and just being themselves. This could be making a certain face, striking a new pose or just squeezing their partner. It always yields the cutest and most authentic results. Lean in because I have a little secret for you, there is no wrong way to do this. I know, mind blowing right?
Okay, so all in all, be you, be confident and have fun.
